‘It may be that your Lord will have mercy on you, but if you return, We too shall return. We have made Hell a prison for the infidels”
Regarding the above verse, Imam Sadiq (as) said, “It may be that your Lord will have mercy on you” means that Allah will help you against your enemies.
Then Allah addresses the Bani Umayyah and says, “But if you return, We too shall return”. This means that when you (the Bani Umayyah) return with Sufyani, “We” will return with the Qaem of the family of Mohammed (as)
